Here are the rules. There ain't no rules! This is not going to be a club or anything that complicated. No dues, Presidents or minutes of the meeting. Just a get together of folks that happen to like each other and like the same kind of stuff. Maybe a little (a lot?) of story telling, some swapping, buying and selling. Who knows... we may even have a pot luck supper or a cook out some day. Once we get into this, I don't really know how it will develop but let's get started.

To get the ball rolling, I will lead off. I will assign a month and date for our first Swap. I will arrange for a location and (hopefully free!) facilities for this Swap. I will send out an e-mail announcement to every person on my contact list. I've been 14 years building this list. It's a long one! I will show up at the agreed upon location, on the announced date and time and hope that a bunch of you folks show up too!

Bring some bits or spurs to show, swap or sell. Bring your "want list". Bring anything related! Bring information or questions that you may have about the different makers. If you show up with an old saddle or some other such "cowboy" item, we won't run you off! The main thing is... to attend this, our first Bit & Spur Swap. If by chance, nobody shows up ... this will die before it gets off the ground so please shut everything down on the appointed day and get here ok? Remember now.. there will be no cost to you. Just a fun time visiting with folks that you will enjoy being with.

As I have said... I will lead off but in time we'll need some people (in their area) to step up and schedule/host a Bit & Spur Swap in their area. The "area" that I speak of will be people living in Southeast Kansas, Southwest Missouri, Northwest, Arkansas, and Notheast Oklahoma. This way, at times one of our Bit & Spur Swaps will be much closer to where you live. Not always in my back yard near Claremore, Oklahoma. By the way... if a Texan shows up at one of our Swaps, we won't run him / her off!
